Saugerties, NY (September 21, 2021) - Lumière Horses Inc (LHI)'s Gabriela Reutter recently wrapped up a few weeks of showing at HITS-on-the-Hudson, where she has been prepping her top Grand Prix mare for a European CSIO Nations Cup tour and putting show miles on her three other horses. Reutter, who trains under the guidance of Olympian Chris Kappler, is focused on developing all of her campaign and sales horses to their maximum potential in the show ring.
She and her Grand Prix horse Maharees Rock, aka Rocky, are scheduled to compete for Chile in 2 CSIO 3* Nation Cups held in October and November in Spain and Portugal. Rocky's steadily improving performances over the past year have slated her as a serious international level competitor, and the senior Nations Cups will be a first for both horse and rider. At HITS, Rocky and Reutter jumped to a first-place finish in the $5,000 1.40M HITS Open Welcome, and finished 11th in the CSI 2-star HITS Grand Prix. Furthermore, Here I Am Z (aka Hero), a newly added campaign horse for Reutter, also jumped in the ribbons at HITS with a 4th, 6th, & 8th in the 1.30M.
In early 2021, LHI imported two hand-selected horses to add to their roster: 11-year-oold Daikina D’Heyboght Z and 7-year-old Il Etait Une Fois a Rivereuille. Known around the barn as Daikina and River, both have begun 1.30M+ show careers with Lumière Horses Inc. and are offered for sale. LHI soon welcomed two other sale horses: I Mose VLS (aka Mosie) and Performance EP, both of whom also put in solid performances at HITS:
