Wellington, FL (February 24, 2021) - With WEF 6 (February 17-21) a wrap, the Lumiere Horses team celebrates milestones at this midway point in the winter season, including multiple top finishes in the U25 and Grand Prix classes and a new Lumiere sales horse. Building on her top 3 finish in the WEF 1 $30,000 Pilates Rocks Grand Prix, Gabriela Reutter of Chile jumped both of her campaign horses to top ten finishes during WEF 2 and 5, and welcomed a new addition to her string with Here I Am Z. Under the tutelage of Olympian Chris Kappler, Reutter's WEF season continues WEF 8, with her focus set to the U25 Grand Prix Final and advancing her position on the international stage.
During WEF 2, Reutter guided Atticus Diamant (Monty) to a 6th place finish in the Hermes $10,000 FEI U25 Welcome Grand Prix on the beautiful derby field at Global, while Maharees Rock (Rocky) had a single rail in the $25,000 FEI U25 Grand Prix. Monty went on to finish second during WEF 5 in the $6,000 FEI CSI 2-star 1.45M, while Rocky was 9th in the $37,000 FEI 2-star Qualifier, securing a spot to compete in that week's 2-star Grand Prix. During WEF 6, both Monty and Rocky put in solid performances in both the U25 Grand Prix and FEI Grand Prix divisions. Two weeks off at their winter home will see both horses fresh and prepped to tackle the U25 Final and international Grand Prix.
Lumiere also welcomed Here I Am Z, aka Hero, who landed safely in the US in February to continue his career with Reutter. Hero adds a third bay and exceptional potential to Lumiere's string, and Reutter is looking forward to developing the gelding to his full potential.

Reutter's passion for equestrian sport began at a young age, and has since taken her to the upper echelons of show jumping. Combining talent, horsemanship, and dedication to her dreams, she rides with the aspiration of representing Chile at the pinnacle of show jumping sport. Born in Santiago, Chile, Gaby began riding at only four years old. At 17, she moved to the United States to pursue a professional show jumping career. Since 2014, she has ridden under the guidance of Olympic Gold and Silver Medalist Chris Kappler, and completed her undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Studies at NYU.
To date, Gaby has multiple top finishes in international FEI classes, from the U25 Grand Prix divisions to victory in an FEI 4-star event. She currently campaigns her two show jumpers, Atticus Diamant (aka Monty) and Maharees Rock (aka Rocky), at the FEI level. Both had excellent results during WEF 2020, and you can read more about Gaby’s horses here. Her international equestrian CV also includes Spruce Meadows, The Hampton Classic, and several junior/young rider South American Games. In 2018, Reutter received her certificate of capability for the Pan American Games following a top 3 finish in the FEI 3-star 1.50M Captive One Classic.
